Sorry, I don't know what they are, I just wanted to say they look nice

Ok so thinking the one on the left is an echinata... the plug comes from reefgen so guessing it is an acan they are known for...

I thought the one on the right was a button coral... Sometimes called a mini scoly... The one on the left looks different from that one.

Still something different about it... But not super familiar with echinatas.

I don't think it's a acan it's in the meat type corals I believe. I'll try and find the name I'm thinking of.

I looked up meat corals... It is not a cynarina... Thought maybe an acanthophyllia but I don't think anyone has propagated those and this came on a plug... Maybe it was found small and mounted on it.

I'm looking yet n have a call to a friend who has one in his store. Is it fleshy like the common meat corals just flat or is the tissue tighter to it ?

That is the weird thing. It looks fleshy but very flat. It shrinks to a smaller circle then opens so definitely fleshy.

Wow, it looks similar to that green one on liveaquaria.

It does not look like anything in the scolly family. The meat coral or acantophyllia is in scolly family. It has acan type written all over it.

I am spot feeding it. It took several Fauna Marin LPS pellets last night. I figured if it is an acan, a head should pop out soon.

Time for an update... I have been spot feeding it but no new heads:

Just for comparison, here is an echinata I got at the same time... Same spot feeding but it has 4 or 5 new heads:

It is in the middle next to the clam... Thoughts? Still think it is an echinata?
