Hey everyone. Maybe I am just an idiot but I am very confused about this acanthophyzllia I received this week. For context, the bag it was in popped during transit and some of the coral was exposed to air.

My confusion is this white skeleton at the base. Is this fresh tissue death, or is

this just how acans look? I have a trachy and its nothing like this. Everything leads me to believe it is death… but theres also this feather duster on the outside that grows just up to the edge of where the coral inflates. Any info is appreciated.

It looks like there is a little tissue recession. If water quality is good it should recover quickly.

Looks like the underlying skeleton but overall looks good. Give it good params and some feeding and it should be fine.
