Hi everyone, need some help to ID what's going on here. Lost a few Acro to this.

Seems to be STN? Does the decay pattern suggest pest? I have not seen amy red bugs or AEFW, just have some pods crawling on it lol.

NITRATE - 2

Phosphate - reading zero, but pretty sure their a bit

ALK - 8.6

CAL - 420

MAG - 1230

Lighting is fine, I have torch and hammer at same height and their doing great

No crazy swing in parameters

Thanks everyone

How long have the acros been in your tank?

They'll likely want more light than the hammer and torch. Next question is flow... They'll need some decent flow also.

Not sure what you mean by no crazy swings in parameters, but if they are stable, then it is probably lighting. A torch or hammer will not require the same lighting as an Acro.

Possibly something in your makeup water? Seems to be the root of my problems. Possibly time to change filters and membranes.I’m doing mine today.

Think it should be ok! No TDS meter, but I grab my rodi from my LFS. Their a great shop, have some high end acros in their own tanks with no issues

Also, all other corals doing great. Duncan, zoas, torch, hammer, mushrooms, BT anemone, acan

Just because their tanks are ok, doesn’t mean the water they’re selling you is. Could be your water or your lighting.

Looks like a starving acro to me. Core parameters aren’t balanced, nutrients low or too low. Stability? How often do levels fluctuate? Daily?

Are you using RO water or tap water from faucet ?
What is your salinity and what are you using to check salinity ?
Mag can go to 1300 and Calcium to 450
temp range 77-79

I WOULD GET A SECOND OPINION BY TAKING A WATER SAMPLE TO A TRUSTED LFS AND HAVE THEM TEST WATER FOR YOU TO VERIFY READINGS AND TO COMPARE WITH YOURS.
May also be time to consider sending in an ICP test

Ya I'm just gonna do ICP and save some time. Find out once and for all
