So I got the ai pre for my 29g biocube I hooked it up and chose the david Bixby setting I set it to start at 50% and acclimate to 100%. I'm afraid this is too much. I have the light mounted 4" off the water to keep it with my hood. With it being that close on a 29g can I ramp to full power? Where should i have started, and how long ramp up?

Would this be acceptable?

Par meter is the only true way of knowing your output. I have two AI Prime HDs over my 20, running a modded AB+ spectrum, mounted 9” above the water surface. At 60% intensity, I measured 450 par at water surface and 100 par at tank bottom. I can only assume if you set your intensity higher than 60%, your Par numbers could be higher, and stress your tank if they are not acclimated to higher intensity.
