Hi friends,

I have 4 lights Prime Ai, and all over 6 months of use. For days over here he gave a sound in the fan after a while to be on.

And I cleaned, I've acomodad Maya is on the fan not to make contact, but just keeps ringing.

The day before yesterday and last night when I got it off and light the logo remains on red.

What can it be?

How to Fix It?

Regards

Red means it is in thermal shutdown. Meaning it shuts down automatically to prevent LED's to overheat.

It should turn back on after it cooled down. It happened to me last week for couple days,. I used compress air to clean the fan shroud. And it never happened again.

Make sure to cover your tank, or better yet, remove the light completely and clean it on your table.

Indeed, I think it is by temperature and the fan does not work as it should. yesterday and remove the light, disassemble and clean. but today still sounds fan.

Does the fan making a grinding noise that sounds like its rubbing onto something?

If it is, most likely you accidentally pushed down the mesh on top. If you did, get a tiny paper clip and pull the mesh back upwards

Accurate, it is as if the mesh stick, the sound is not continuous but it is sporadic. when disassemble and clean, then the arm and made sure that the mesh will not be pushed into the fan.

I had trouble with mine in the past. I called AI and they sent me a brand new light. They have awesome customer service.

I purchased a tank used that came with AI Primes. While setting up I noticed that one of the units had a non-functional fan. It was pretty easy to go online and get an RMA. They even replaced the Prime with a PrimeHD.

Customer service will look at it, but you will have to have a backup light to send that one in.

Thank you. Thank you.
