Hi,
I am really struggling with the algae in my tank and after reading a few threads and other sites I **think** I have green hair algae (although it's more brown in colour) and also red cyano.
Can anyone help confirm and then let me know how to control?
What I think is cyano is in the red circles in the two photos. Sort of like and film and peels off the rock in pieces.
I used a toothbrush to scrub the rocks then tried to scoop whatever was floating in the water out with a net. Do I just need to keep doing that?
Can I use the toothbrush on the corners on the silicon to get rid of algae there?
Its a 60g tank. I have 5 trochus/Astraea snails, 5 turbo, about 6 nassarius and 2 strombus snails. As well as about 6 peppermint shrimp, pair coral banded shrimp and pair porcelain crabs.
Moving the Astraea/trochus snails onto the rocks with the hair algae has helped but just wondering if I should get some more snails?
