I be been fighting cyano for almost 9 months and it’s finally slowing down. There are burgundy velvet algae on some of my live rock. I thought it was cyano that was left over so I tried to brush it off with a tooth brush. But nothing is coming out. I think there’s coraline grown on the dead coral plug but can’t figure out the velvet stuff. Any idea? All water parameters are good phosphate is about .5.

Thanks. Read in another thread it could be another type of coraline algae. Can anyone confirm?
