I tested water today once my reef test kit came in. PH is 8-8.1, Alk is 1 dkh, salinity is 1.024, calcium is 380 ppm, ammonia is 0, nitrites 0, nitrates at 5ppm. I’m currently adding Seachem Marine buffer as PH was sitting at 7.86. How do I raise dkh to correct levels with grossly over doing to PH?

How long has this tank been set up?
What is living in the tank?
The calcium and dkH are both low for a reef tank but more or less fine for a fish tank. Not sure how you got to these levels or why you are trying to raise pH? PH is low, yes but the dKh is way off (from natural sea water) and so I am curious why you started manipulating pH?

I'm going to get some lunch.

Let me apologize in advance. After completely reading the instructions on the test kit I performed the dkH test incorrectly. After reading it thoroughly I’m sitting at 11 dkH. I have 2 corals that were just added a few days ago, both are pom Pom Xenia. As far as Calcium I’ll redo the test tomorrow as I’m working with a broken hand and trying to rest it. My tank has been set up for a few months using the live rock from my previous tank in the main display and rubble rock in my sump from the LFS, which was to help with calcium levels. Thank you for reply.
