My wife bought me this because she liked how it looked. What is its name? Where do I place it in my tank light wise?

I have that exact same coral. Follow all the above recommendations and you should be good to go. The more light it gets the paler the brown will become. For rich and deep contrast keep low on lighting and flow.

So looking at my scape would you all place it in the middle under the ledge so to speak?

Yes, or just leave it where it is and see how it responds. Putting it where you are pointing might disrupt the nice aquascape. You could also place it to the left on that outcrop near to under the shelf. just don't shade it too much

If I may does a favia like the bottom best? Can it be placed on a rock 1/2 way up in lower flow?

I have mine at the bottom of my standard 125g tank. Full light so the brown is a bit washed out. I have 3 SB Reef lights and two supplemental illumagic x minis lighting the tank. Blue is at 90% and white at 55% running 12 hours with moderate flow in that spot. You can see the increase in the brown where the light falls off at the sides.
