Help With Anemone

How can I know if my long tentacle anemone is dead, if alive what could be it’s reasons to look deflated like this, stress from the clowns low light. It’s been like this for couple of days.

From the pictures it does not look healthy. I don't think its dead yet, but it looks like its on the path out.

I would say do a couple water changes; did you add or dose anything new to the tank since its been looking like that?

I agree that it does not look dead but it doesn't look good at all.
Tell us about your system. Paramaters, age, lighting, inhabitants anything you can think of could be helpful. How long have you had the anemone and has it looked like this the entire time? Any recent changes to your tank or inhabitants?

Unfortunately I noticed you posted on 11/29 about starting up a new tank. Is that tank the one you have the anemone in?

If that's the case your tank is extremely new and needs to go through the cycle, it's questionable you should have any fish in there let alone an anemone.

Please take a look at some of the stickies in the new to saltwater forum, they will help you out over the next couple months of starting up the tank.

Thank you. Its a 50 ltr holding tank just had it for a week now looked better when I got it. Tank is about 2 months old started with live water bare bottom, HMF filter, 2 x T5 blue tubes, turned the wave maker off and added a power head.
In terms of water parameters NO ammonia nitrite and nirates, salinity 35ppt.
Live stock 2 clown fish.

I know I'm not very specific with water parameters coz I havent tested more.

Well the newness of the tank is the first thing that jumps out as a problem, but the lighting comes in second. Please read up some on basic anemone care and requirements. They are not an easy animal to care for and do not do well in new aquariums.

Thats the main display tank.
This was set up earlier suppose to be a holding/ quarantine tank for corals and fish till the big one is ready and cycled. I know even 2 months is early in salt water, but was told since i used live water and bacteria it would be fine.

These are just now. I just need to know if it’s gone remove it before it kills my fish. I take this as a lesson people giving wrong information and advice just to get you to buy it . Will read up more. Thank you for the links and advice.
