I like the arch on the left, but not sure what to do with the middle/right side. The space on the left is gunna be filled with rocks from my older tank (is that a good idea?)

I think it looks good! One thing I would "change" is to add a little height difference between the left and the right side. That will create more of a depth-look, and will also be sweet for coral placement :) You could also reposition some of the middle rocks, to create more of a swim-through area, so two islands are formed.

Regarding old rocks, I can't see why it would be a bad idea, unless:
1. you think it will bring some kind of problem (nuisance algae, or pests)
2. you think it might look a bit too crowded.

I don't like seeing a lot vertical rock face ,, I kinda like a stepped up look to a scape ,,, from front to back ,, like what you have going on in the center of your scape ,, you can start your corals out low and then step the corals up the scape ,,

I will start with the left side :) I am guessing that base piece holding up your shelf piece is two pieces ,, one holding up the shelf piece and another piece just sitting to the left of it between the scape and the left hand side glass panel,, I would do a couple of things here ,, one ,, I don't like that piece sitting on the outside left ,, its to close to the glass ,, it looks like you need a bit more buffer space between the rock & your left glass panel,, makes for easier glass cleaning ,, provides for more flow around your scape,,

The base piece holding up the shelf piece ,, I don't like all that vertical that you can see ,,, I know you said you were going to add more rock to this area ,, in the mean time lol I would turn that piece on its side ,, turn it counter clock wise ,, so that the left side of it, the flatter side of it, is on your sand bed ,,

Ok ,, now how to hold up that shelf piece :) take the piece that is closest to the left glass panel ,, the one I wanted you to remove to give a buffer between your scape and the glass ,,, also take the piece ,, that you now have placed ,, in between the center of your scape ,, the part I like and ,, for lack of a better word,, your right side island ,, the piece holding up the left side of of that shelf piece ,,, use those two pieces to hold up that left side shelf piece ,,, the piece that I wanted you to turn clock wise ,, now place it in front of those two pieces ,, you may have to over lap all three pieces to get them to the height you need to hold up that shelf piece ,,, Now,, take all the rock from your other system ,, and do something on the right side of your tank :)

Here is one thing I kinda don't like about the center section of your scape ,, maybe ,, that cave ,,, its hard to see, its dark in the picture ,, is there a rock blocking the back of the cave ,, the way you have that center section made,, if the cave has a rock enclosing the back of the cave ,, it would be a gunk trap in there ,, you want to have good flow thru there ,,,

Can you tell its Sunday morning and I have nothing better to do :)

I did a quick mock up on Photoshop of something that might be a bit nice. It'll give you a mid passageway, a cave, and two different leveled shelves.

Here is a quick top view design. The white circles are the higher leveled shelves and the darker circles will be below near sand level.

thanks for all the feedback! what i've decided from your feedback is:
1. dont connect the rocks (make the middle empty to form 2 islands)
2. height differences between both. (i planning the right side taller than the left side, the shelf on the left is planned for some type of coral i don't know yet.)

also to clarify, the picture didn't come out right. between the glass on the left and the rock, i think there is a good 3 inches there (not sure if that's enough) and on the right side about 8 inches of empty space.

I would still go higher on one island. You can do this with rock or coral.
