I have a typhoon 3 air water and ice RO/DO system. It has a built in ASOV which I connected to a float valve in my 55 gal barrel. The problem is even when it shuts off the RO/DI the system continues to make waste water. I called air water n ice and they said that there ASOV should also shut off waster water. They told me to flush system which I did but didn’t work. I read a thread on R2R about using solenoid valve in wAter input and avast marine pressure switch output. My question is can I just install these vss as lies with my present system? Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

First, check that the flush valve is in the correct position (closed, perpendicular to the valve). like this
If that doesn't solve the problem, just buy a new ASOV from AWI or from Amazon. Also check that the valve is plumbed correctly.
