Looks like velvet but he's been in qt tank for a week now with 0.6 cupramine

The white spots are the healing marks left "after" the parasite has dropped off the fish The amount of spots should not be increasing and should slowly decrease over time. Velvet "trophonts" can feed on the fish for as little as 4 hours and or as long as 4 days or so, and then drop off. Thus leaving the "spots" as they drop. So at the week mark, you should see decreasing numbers of spots. The copper only kills the free swimmers that hatch after they encyst on the rocks, bottom of your tank.

Is it eating? Feed some food with vitamins like Selcon to help it's immune system to weather the effects of the parasites.

Your dose of cupramine is a bit high. Suggested level is 0.5 mg/L for Cupramine for 30 days.

Those areas where it's lighter than the others could be getting infected as well, which lends to the appearance of velvet. If you have any acriflavin on hand, a 90 minute bath in that could help buy some time. I'd be ready with some kanaplex or another wide spectrum antibiotic just in case.

There's more fish in the qt and they are spotless.
i have another black tang in a different qt with the same spots along with an Achilles...
Tried to post a video and I can't

0.6 is fine, done it lots of times. Even seachem will tell you the same.

By the way these aren't my fish. It's in a fish store (my best friend owns it). I just help him out a couple of days out of the week

A picture would still be useful. One where he is out in the open and in focus.
