Help with bowerbanki please!

I got this large bowerbanki colony a few weeks ago from a vendor and in the last week or so it started showing signs that it is receding. Starting to see skeleton on the edges and a few spot off the edge.

My water parameters are up to par so what steps would you take now to help prevent it from dying? This is an Aussie...

maybe too much light? or light shock from the dealer to your tank?

i would move it immediately. whatever it's in now- high flow, low flow, high light...i would change.

Jack and I have several bowerbanki colonies move them to like you would an acan almost the same species.... make sense... that's what we did, they are doing great!

Yes I was afraid the light was to much! Just moved it to low flow, lowest light in the tank. THANKS!

Depends on what is wrong with it. Might want to do a dip in TMPCC, lugols, or Revive. If you suspect a bacterial infection, fragging then dipping would be the route to take. If it is just stressing from the change of tanks, then moving it might be all it needs.

Well I did notice that it lost a little intensity of color after a few days in my tank. It was getting real good light in the previous spot. I am running (3) 250w Radiums and Lumenmax Reflectors about 8" off the water in a 28" tall tank.

I have a red one I got from oiab about a year ago. I have it mid tank right under a 400w 20 ushio with lots of flow.Its one of my least fussy corals.I have even fragged it twice.probably just needs to adjust to its new surroundings.

generally speaking, the bowerbankis should be placed similar to other acans. lower light, lower flow...

I would recommend Brightwell Restor. It worked wonders for me when some of my coral stated to have RTN

I have revive but that seems like it would be too abrasive.

tmpcc is good for situations like this imo.

Well I don't have TMPCC but i just ordered it. You think revive would be ok for now?

Do 1/2 strength for only 4-5 minutes if using Revive, and watch your coral to make sure it doesn't slime too much. Rinse with fresh tank water before returning to tank. I use Revive on new corals, fresh cut frags/colonies, and corals that appear to have a bacterial infection. It can stop some RTN. I've also had success dipping in tank water and amino acids with a little lugols to stop recession. tmpcc is great stuff too.
