Hello

I relatively new to the hobby and had thought I was careful with setting up my tank and getting corals. I do have quite a few corals now and was looking around on my rocks when I found a bristle worm. He was not huge, but definitely not small. I removed him, but it has me wondering how many more there are floating around.

QUESTION:

1) If I found one worm, are there most likely more?
2) How dangerous are they to corals? I have mainly sps / Zoa's / Paly's.
3) How can I get rid of them? I have a yellow coris wrasse and am planning on getting an indigo dotty back.

Thanks

Adam

1) Yes, there are usually quite a few.
2) They are not dangerous at all. They actually help as part of the cleanup crew.
3) Wrasses will eat them when they are small. Once they grow, they usually keep growing,

On a side note, use gloves if you decide to try to catch on by hand. They usually don't get out of control unless you are overfeeding.

+1. I would not worry at all about the bristle worms. I welcome them in my tank and so does my mystery wrasse. :)
