I would scrub the algae off and maybe use a gallon or 2 of tank water to rinse it off and put it back in the tank.
Why use peroxide? So don’t use the peroxide at all? Or are you saying to rinse it off with tank water?
Why use peroxide?
If all you are trying to do is remove some bubble algae off of a piece of live rock, I would just remove the rock and use a nylon bristle brush on it. Then using a gallon or so ( whatever it takes to remove the material) of the tank water and put it back.
I've tried various different concoctions on bubble algae, and the only thing that worked well for me, were emerald crabs.
I've never quarantined crabs or snails.Do you have to Quarantine emerald crabs? Would my flame hawk fish eat them?
