Hi I brought a second hand aquarium, the previous owner decided the only safe way to deliver the tank was if he cut the bulkheads flush to the bottom of the tank! These are siliconed into place! How do I remove them? The glass base is 24mm

To be honest I think a razor blade won't work due to the thickness of the glass 24mm!

How else will you get it out? If it is siliconed, it needs to be cut out. Maybe use an old guitar string to cut it out.

Well I've done it! I've used a jigsaw! Thank you for you help

Glad to hear it not sure why he would had to have cut the bulkhead

1 even with silicone they are still removable
2 a few 4X4 wood blocks almost always does the trick
3 my personal favorite and mainly used idea to move tanks ( I have moved a lot of tanks) flip the tank upside down

Actually u are 100% right in saying there are different methods that would have worked, but different people have different ways of thinking! I'm just glad I got them off without causing any damage! Can't wait to get started up

Thank & im hoping to start a tread on here! After all I did get an extension build to house a larger fish tank lol I didn't want to take up 6ft space inside the house!

Nice 1 for that will ready it later on while at work [emoji1360]
