Help with Butterfly

Hi I got my long snout Butterfly fish yesterday and I noticed a white kinda puffy spot (or maybe damaged scale) on him this morning. He seems otherwise happy and eating well. New to this and not sure what it is or what treatment to use? My water tested good at LFS when I got him. Everything else seems good in the tank except I also got my first coral and that seems to be covered with copepods but that’s a different question for another thread

Might just be an injury / scrape. I’d observe.

Are there any other fish in the system?

I would suggest as a precaution to mix a little kanoplex. focus, and vitamin C with some frozen food. The focus will bind the knanoplex to the food so that the fish will ingest the food and vitamin C. The Vitamin C is a great stress reliever for your system and the antibiotic is for the wound to heal.

Ok do you think it could be parasite. I do have other fish in the tank as well.

I think it was a scrape? It appears to be healing. I got some better pictures now. If anyone has had a fish or seen something like this on a fish please let me know. Thanks

It’s an injury. As long as water quality is good, saltwater fish tend to heal quickly.
The method Jsker mentioned would help to assure it does not progress into anything bacterial.
Do keep an eye on it. It should show signs of healing this time tomorrow.

My copper band had something similar. I think they get scraped up because they are always looking for food in tight spaces. Found the scrape healed very quickly.
