Its been a year and half since I started this tank and I think I have figured this thing out enough that I won't kill Light hungry SPS and that my tank is ready for the next step.
The tank is a 150 6ft by 2ft by 2ft.
My lights at the moment are 2 hydra 26 and 3 primes.
Quick story ( I bought 3 primes for a tank, the tank sprung a leak and that weekend I found a good deal on the 150 so I picked it up.)
The primes are clustered together and I put low to medium light corals under that half of the aquarium and the hydras have the heavier light corals under them.
I want to take the lights to the next step and here is my thoughts.
Buy a hydra 32. That will give me 9 pucks of light but it might not help with the shadows as muchg as I would like.
Buy the xho add ons for the hydras. After watching the BRS video I feel pretty convinced on buying XHO bars in combination with the hydras.
Or buy 2 5ft XHO bars and have them go across the top.
Or maybe this is all the wrong direction.
Thank you for taking your time and reading this
