Hey guys my clown fish has been having this white string thing coming from his anus area i showed some pictures on other forums people said it’s a parasite and recommended using prazipro or new spectrum food that combats parasites what would you guys recommend to save my clowns

have 2 clowns some snails emerald crab and some hermits don’t want anything to die

somone recommended prazipro Incase my live rock and stuff had paracites that it would kill it all

Sure sounds like internal parasites. Best to treat internally if they are eating. Dose with a paste made of Metro + Focus + Food, add a bit of water if necessary to combine. Feed carefully to avoid polluting the water with too much food and the meds. Give it 10 days as meds are notoriously slow acting on fish.

I use focus for such stuff as well. Prazipro will take a long time to get in the gut. Focus will be direct and clear them right up if they are eating.

Yes, and truth be told Praziquantel in Prazipro kills "some" internal parasites, not all. That's the beauty of Metro; it kills all of them. :)

Hey man so I should go but “ metro “ and focus combine both with some of my mini pellets and feed them with the combination? This shoulda like the safest route to take people told me to get the new spectrum food or the prazi to kill all parasites in the tank but i like your way better sounds safer

Yes. If you have the liquid metro, soak the pellets in it and add the Focus to "bind" them together. If you have the powdered Metro add the Focus and the pellets and a bit of water. Stir a bit to combine. You can store the mix in the fridge between feedings.

Cool man thanks for the help this would cute the parasite pretty which you say also how long should i be treating them with this

10 days minimum. Sometimes it takes up to 30 days to get rid of particularly stubborn worms. Keep feed until you see non - white poop.

Any specific place i can buy this metro and focus like pet supplies or Walmart?

This exactly, definitely internal parasites!

I get mine on Amazon. Best prices and availability. Pretty common med. Most LFS should have.
Cool thanks for the advice and info ima try to buy it today lfs wise if not amazon and begin treat us it safe to stock coral during is time or you’d wait? Also can paracites survive in live rock and invertebrates will metro and focus eliminate them completely? And I’m looking on amazon. So many different metros and focuses any specific brand or something i should get

will metro and focus eliminate them completely
The Focus is a binder. It holds the Metro together with the food so it doesn't disperse into the tank water. Small feedings, just enough for the fish to eat. If you overfeed, that could leak out some Metro into the water. Some like to keep a turkey baster handy to suck out any uneaten food before it sinks. So you do what you can.
Your choice on the Metro. Either the Metro MS (liquid) or the Metro powder will work fine. I like to keep both in my fish med kit.

Do you QT your incoming coral?
Umm i haven’t even gotten coral yet so no i don’t have a qt tank only my 10g main tank so i was thinking of just keeping them in the bag on top of the water than drain the water and add them in or is that not the way to do it lol I’m basically new to this

Ok. So let's get you up to speed on QT process. Lots of bad diseases coming in with fish lately, especially Marine Velvet and Brooklynella.
And bad things can come in with corals, snails, shrimp. So here's QT process for them.
Lots and lots of sad stories and even folks leaving the hobby from incoming diseases and parasites.
