So one of my clowns has been hosting in my Duncan colony. Over the last few days i have noticed these sores appearing on his side. They are on both sides. He is still active and eating aggressively. No ideas what these are. Any help is appreciated.

Looks like a bacterial infection.

Beautiful clown!
Hard to tell from the pic, but its probably the best you can do with a moving fish lol.

From the pic it looks like coralline algae growing on it tho its unlikely and unprobable. Do you know if the clowns are paired ? Is it the bigger one or the smaller one do they fight?
I'm assuming maybe its from rubbing against the Duncan?

This clown is a solo. I also have a pair of regular ocellaris clowns that do not host anything. I also believe that this is from the Duncan. I have a 180g tank setup in preparation for a upcoming house move so i captured him and put him in that tank for now. Looks so funny having that little fish all alone in that bug empty tank. I hope this helps and he starts to heal.

I see, its probaly just what u said, the Duncan. They are very similar to anemones but they just don't move I'm not sure if they sting or not? But yes I think it should heal up soon if its away from it. If in a couple of weeks it doesn't improve it may be parasites, disease or possibly a skin condition, my female had a skin condition I can't remember what its called but it soon healed.

Well after checking on this guy today the marks on his side have healed up. He is looking great. I will move him back to the display tank tonight and hopefully he will stay out of the duncan this go round.
