I don't understand what I'm missing or where I went wrong.
Try and give as much information as I can to help.
Taking lux reading 10" below my led lights, I get 200 (blues) and 2600 (blues/white). After using the conversion for leds recommended by @Dana Riddle, for blues 200/69 = 2.9 and
blues/white combination 2600/67 = 38.8.
I have (3) 165w leds 10" above my waterline.
Settings: blue @ 50%; white @ 23%
Lux meter is:
Sper Scientific LUX/FC Light Meter Model 840022
In description it states will read LED light and compensates for color. The color and cosine corrected sensor meets C.I.E. photopic spectrum.
Range: 400,000 lux; 40,000 fc
Resolution: 0.01 / 1 lux; 0.001/1 fcAccuracy: ±(3% + 0.5% fs)
Ability to compensate for the different colors of light
