I am adding some coral to my 92 gal corner tank . It is 22 deep . Im running a metal halide for 5 hours and some aquaticlife led strips for a couple of hours before and a couple of hours after the halide runs. Halide is 20,000k metal halide. Leds are aquaticlife white and blue strips. I will have to go back and look for the box that tells the lumens..anyway Im adding Chili , colt , a large leather toadstool, and goniopora and a sea rod which I know is not soft ..I appreciate any input you guys can share.

Everything can go mid to bottom with no issues. The goni need moderate lighting, so I'd say where to place it but you didn't specify what Wattage your Halide was at.

250Mh 120v 20,000k on the halide
2 aquaticlife expandable 10,000k white -460nm blue 15 w strips
Only have two stips for now ..Want to eliminate the high temps by using the halide less . was using them 8 hrs and my temps were really getting too high .

Run fans over the tank water to keep it cooler in the summer months.
Put the Goni middleish, and you can place the rest lower.
The Chili put in a cave, or under a shelf so it gets no light.

Thanks for the info for the coral...I had placed the chili under a ledge but wasnt sure about water flow , if it would get to it there.
I am running a fan across the top and one on the sump.. ..Do I need to adjust the time that i run the halide/leds?

I'd go back to where you had them. Definately run the Halide longer, unless your going to go all LED.
