Hello everyone!
I am currently a senior in high school and am doing a research project on "Impact of predatory marine animal populations on coral reefs in the Atlantic ocean". I am an inexperienced researcher and literally wrote this up in just a few hours, and haven't even referenced the Atlantic yet. I know I need to cite sources and fill in blanks but this is just a rough draft and I'm looking for some feedback. Most of this stuff is off the top of my head and refers to articles I have read in the past (I must look to find these articles so I can cite them). This paper will likely be about 4000,-5000 words long so it is just in its beginning stages.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated :)
Thanks in advance!

I have removed the commenting option on the document to prevent any obscene or inappropriate activity (not that I think you guys would but its just a precaution) so if you wish to comment please do so on reef2reef
Also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't steal my idea for a topic, it will disqualify my submission if someone was doing the same thing as me.

Maybe coral ecosystems instead of reef systems (sounds like an aquarium and not the ocean)

Look into the lionfish issue. Tons of info.
Totally agree. I wrote a little about them in the paper but I think I should write more to address both the removal of natural predators and the introduction of invasive ones.

They truly are an invasive species that has really impacted the ecosystem. Good luck on your project!
