Help with CUC. Snails or Hermit Crabs??? and how many?

Hello. I have had my 50 Gal Fowlr tank running for almost 2 years. I have a couple of CUC questions. I currently have
4 Blue and 4 red legged Hermits
appr 5 Astraea , 8 Nassarius, 5 Trochus, 3 Cerith, 2 Turbo snail
1 tiger Conch
1 Silver lip conch.

I recently got the Hermits and they are pretty much killing every snail in the tank except the conchs and turbos. Would it be best to take them all out and just keep snails, take out all the snails and just keep hermits and the larger turbos and conchs? I never had a problem with the snails die off until the hermits were introduced. Also is this enough CUC or should i up the amount?

Sounds like there’s either not enough food for the hermits or they’re looking for new shells.

Do they have plenty of spare shells to pick from? If not try adding some in.
