Newb!
So... Diatoms are taking over my tank. Nitrates are still 160ppm. I'm going to do a few more 20% water changes and keep doing so until they come down. But it's probably about time I start considering what I want to put in there for my CuC. I was hoping I could get some advice as to what is needed in a 30 gallon tank. I have a HOB filter (Penguin 350) and a Maxijet to circulate the water. This is a FOWL tank and I have Crushed Coral as my substrate. A few Algae Grazing flat worms on the glass. How many snails should I get? How many crabs? How many shrimps? Any certain recommended types? I'm setting up a peaceful to semi-aggressive tank. I don't want my fighting and chasing each other around.
