Been battling this for a couple months now. Tried chemiclean, dr Tim’s refresh/waste away and lights out. Still not making any head way...I’ve attached pictures under scope to just help ID this is cyano. Nutrients were higher, around po4 .20 and no3 above 20, I’ve added gfo in a media bag(haven’t gotten a chance to plumb reactor yet) and lighter feedings. They have come down some here is latest readings.

Well your problem isn't cyano... those are dinos. They look like prorocentrum dinos to me.

Also using BRS 4 stage RODI for water. I do have a question about that too. When are you guys changing out filters? Mine are about 8 months old but still reading 0tds after a minute or so of running.

Well that explains why they aren’t going away with cyano treatments. I’m still newish to hobby but my assumption was dinos thrived in low nutrient tanks....

I've had dinos in low nutrients and high nutrients! Low nutrients seemed to bring them on, but they seem to thrive as well with high nutrients in cyano mats.

You can control prorocentrum with a uv system plumbed from the DT back into the DT. Run a 3 day blackout to force them into the water column so the UV gets them.
