Just noticed this sore on the side of my yellow headed jawfish. Have no idea whether it is a bacterial it parasitic problem. Love these guys don't want to lose him. Should I put him in a hospital tank with some copper?

Highly recommend NFG powder for sores on the sides of fish. It's a bit harder to get a hold of, but would get some for your fish med kit. A quicker antibiotic to help with that is Sulfaplex aka Triple Sulfa or Furan2.
