Help with dino id

Hi all I'm having a problem with dino and wondering if a uv will help. I think I have prorocentrum type, can someone confirm?

Photo is not great but it's the best I could do with the tools on hand.

Yeah, photo does not help. Did you compare what you saw to an image of Proricentrum?

Yes that was the closest match I could find. But my microscope is not the best. Also there was not a lot of movement. And I read somewhere that that type was the most likely to be not moving

I have noticed that dinoflagellates seem to change the amount that they swim around in my algae cultures. The newer cultures seem to have more swimmers then resting cells. I haven’t found scientific studies to confirm this observation. Anyway, I wouldn’t use activity level as a key for identification.

Well tha I would have to go with osteoporosis, either way uv should help for these so I will just try that out. Every little bit should help.
