Help with Dino X Treatment

Hi Reefers,

I was in the beggining of a trouble with dinos and then started the dino x Treatment per the Guide.
Using a UV filter to help it.

Yesterday I dosed the 3rd dose and today there is no signal of dinos...

I am looking to add one more dose tomorrow and add carbon on monday.

Regarding the lights, when should I came back with the regular schedule? Because I reduced to 6 hours only and blue only.

This stuff rarely works.
Check phosphates and nitrates to assure theyre not elevated.
Here is full program:
Prepare by starting with a water change and blow this stuff loose with a turkey baster and siphon up loose particles.
Turn lights off (at least white and run blue at 10-15%) for 5 days and at night dose 1ml of hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons for all 5 nights. If you dont have light dependent coral- turn all lights off.
During the day dose 1ml of liquid bacteria (such as bacter 7) per 10 gallons.
Clean filters daily and DO NOT FEED CORAL FOODS OR ADD NOPOX as it is food for dinos.
Day 5,, you can start with blue lights - ramping up and work your white lights up slowly

Will Try this...Dinos killed my zoas...and I am battling DINOs almost 3 months now...they just popped up after 2yrs of running a stable reef system. I do feed Reef AB+ nightly 17ml... & weekly water changes

So you do not feed the corals during that five day period of time other than the bacteria and peroxide? And is it the same peroxide I can find at Walmart?

Bring the lights back slowly, but a quick change. You might notice some cyano flare ups after a reduction in dinos using these types of methods. Don't freak out over that if it happens. If it does occur, I believe it's because of a big change in nutrient parameters where there's now a missing link (dinos) and so the cyano takes over. Just siphon out the cyano and then slowly start bringing down your nutrients to your preferred range over a month or so.

Dino can be very toxic

I have a 120 gallon Reef (100 with water displacement) plus a 40 gallon sump filled with about 20gal...total about 120 gallons...with your treatment I should be using about 12-15ml of Peroxide and live bacteria correct? Also, should I do another water change at Day 5?

Reef a/B may be part of the issue. Do not feed for a week and the resume but cut amount in half for a couple of weeks

Funny u say ur dosing AB+ and had dinos pop up out of nowhere in a two year old tank. I’m in same boat everything was fine till I started dosing AB+

Do not use Dino X ! Ever, Ever, Ever! I used it on my SPS tank and took out my invertebrates, Frags, shrimps, beneficial bacteria definitely,
I only used half dose and ran it for a day in my tank. I noticed corals closing up and melting. I quickly did water change and ran new carbon. Do things the natural way and stay away from chemicals! It’s just money for the manufacturers! I’m having nightmares trying to bring everything back !
