Help with Disease ID

[Blackened]

a friends tank suddenly started seeing fish die.

We’ve trapped them all to treat in a QT but don’t have a confirmed disease ID.

I suspect velvet but not seeing all the standard symptoms.

Water showed 0.05 Nitrite which could be attributed to the fish dying over the past couple of days.
No ammonia and no nitrate.

Any ideas guys.

Has anything new that is "wet" been added to the tank in the last 30 days or so?

What symptoms are you seeing, besides the splotchyness in the photo? That splotchy appearance is common with velvet + secondary bacterial infection.... so you could be right.

This morning it’s full blown velvet I believe...
They’re in Cupramine after a FW/FWB.

Can I do metro or Kanamycin at the same time? I’m just concerned there’s a black Tang in there too...
