Hi, I just am in the testing stage of a DIY ATO. I have the manual magnetic float switch. It works like it's expected to but there is an LED on the relay that should be lighting up green when it's energized but it just flashes for a split second and I do see a spark inside the relay where the magnetic switch completes the circuit. (edit: for some reason I got teh LED to stay on by switching the wires I had on the lower terminals so the float switch wire under the extension cord wire and now the green light stays on but the spark is still there.) Is this normal?

I feel like this should be really easy but I'd appreciate if someone could take a look and tell me if they see anything wrong?

This is the video that I used primarily:

I believe it an arc from the inrush current. On my build I had the same issue but it eventually started welding the contacts together causing it to stick in the on position during the testing phase. I sprayed a little wd40 on the contacts and tightened the spring a little for that issue. Thinking about replacing with a solid state relay. If I knew about those at first I would have done that from the jump.

dang I can't have that AT ALL...I don't live where the tank is.

Is this what I should get for the solid state relay?
