My 60 gallon reef is about 1.5 years old and have been using All For Reef to maintain alk/minerals. I run my alk around 8 but over the past few weeks I've had to increase my dosing of A4R more exponentially than previously and can't keep up and it keeps dropping (Dates, my alk level and what I did with A4R are below). I previously had to increase dosing by about 1 ml/day every month or so as my corals grew. My alk was at 7.9 a few weeks ago and has been decreasing despite increasing my dosing in A4R. I switched from the liquid form of A4R to making my own using the A4R powder about 2 months ago... I used 6 level scoops of the powder A4R/1L RODI as stated on the package and putting it in a blender for a few minutes until it is relatively clear. I can't help but think it may mix up to be less concentrated than the liquid form. But my reef was stable for about a month on a mix of the liquid form and powder form. Is there anything I may be overlooking? Seems weird I'm having to increase my dosing all of a sudden more than normal. I checked my doser and it's dosing correctly. Nothing seems off in my tank and all corals seem happy. My other parameters are salinity 1.026, nitrates 5, phosphates 0.08 which have been stable. I haven't checked mag and calcium in months

1/10 - Alk 7.8 - Dosing 14 ml/day (been dosing this rate for 1 month and alk steady around 7.8-8.2)
1/13 - Alk 7.9 - Kept dosing at 14 ml/day
1/22 - Alk 6.8 - Increased dosing to 15 ml/day
1/30 - Alk 6.4 - Increased dosing to 17 ml/day + 20% water change with Reef Crystals
2/5 - Alk 7.3 - Kept dosing at 17 ml/day
2/9 - Alk 6.8 - Increased dosing to 24 ml/day (hopefully it'll bring it back up...)

I would check calcium and mag. If calcium rises it can cause alk to drop.
