I'm setting up a new SCA 80g and the DT water level is lower than my liking and need some advice on best options to raise it.

The water level is about 2" down from the top of the rimless tank. Tank is plumbed with a Herbie overflow (first time using one) and the emergency drain is already up so high that there is barely a drop from the overflow and the weir is almost completely under water. I am running a Varios4 return pump on full power.

Any suggestions.are appreciated.

You are getting NO surface skimming. You need to lower the water level in the overflow box.

The water level in the display is fixed to the weir height. If you want a higher waterline then you need to raise the overflow box. I assume it is attached, so you would need to extend it upward.

You don't have other options and running the water at the top of the overflow box (as mentioned) eliminates surface skimming and limits gas exchange that is enhanced by the waterfall sheeting into the overflow box.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't consider the lack of surface skimming by raising the water level.
Since it's my first rimless tank having the water level a little lower than my liking might be beneficial by the time I get power heads going and with cleaning the tank.
