Howdy folks,

There is a pretty loud waterfall sound in my overflow. It’s from the water falling into it. I know there is supposed to be about an inch of space from where the water enters the overflow and where it hits the water inside the overflow. Right now it looks like I have about 2+ inches..
Now, the durso standpipe I have IS an adjustable one, and I know that if I pull that durso up about an inch it will quiet that waterfall sound. However I seem to have a bit of a space issue. If you look at the pics you can see that the plumbing pieces for the return loc-line is pretty much in the way.. I cannot pull up on the durso to make it taller. I tried to cut down on the out put for the loc-line and I did make it a bit shorter but i also managed to crack it. Lol
The elbow of the durso is flanged and it is glued together..

At a loss of what I should do... I don’t really want to rebuild the durso if possible.

Wanted to see if any of your creative minds had any ideas on how I can solve this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! So with this piece all I would need is a straight pvc part of the durso with the piece on top? I wouldn’t need the elbow piece that’s already built in on the durso?
Yep! They were designed by a LFS owner in my area who passed away a while back. Their much smaller so you should be able to raise the pipe up and reduce the splashing sound.
