So i purchased a Trachy from a store and was delivered yesterday. Unfortunately, upon opening it, i saw part of it's flesh showing. Didn't look good. Added to my tank and it's looking a little worse.

What can I do to help it bounce back?

How did you acclimate it?
Keep off the bottom from now under moderate light and water flow

Temp acclimate, drip acclimate. Revive dip.
Drip is not my favorite. How long did you acclimate and did you equalize salinity with the bag water and tank salinity?

neverEVER drip acclimate coral unless you mean to kill it
That doesn't make any sense. Do you just throw coral in from one system to another that could have completely different parameters? That's an easy way to shock and kill things.

I have all different types of coral and a couple clams. I've been doing this for many years and have never heard anyone say NOT to drip acclimate

yes coral isn't the same as a fish, its extremely hard on coral to have reacclimate for 30 minutes
