I need help again, I don't know what I would do without all the help from this forum. Thank you all so much. I have a 6 bulb current t5 fixture. I bought it new really cheap. I thought since I had a top on the tank that it would be ok to just sit it on the glass but it is a pain to feed the coral and anemones. I can't hang from the from the ceiling because our house is up for sale and my husband says I can not put holes in the ceiling. So I need some sort of bracket or arm that would hold the weight of the fixture. The fixture already has holes in the top. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ok yea answered my own question too
I belive it's a current. They are actually down here in San Diego. Go to thier website and contact them.
The fixture should have come with legs that go in the little holes on each end.
Similar to....

And

Might have them

If they don't have them anymore it may be a DIY floor or stand mounted hanger it your a good diy.

Like this. The little holes on top.

I think I'll be able to do one of the dyi hanging mounts with my husbands help. Especially if I order one of the kits that was in the links you sent. Thanks so much, I really appreciate all the help

One more question not related to the other. I just messed up. My reactor valve was off probably for a week. I just opened it not thinking then the smell hit me and I removed it but not before some got in my tank. Can I rinse the media and reuse it or should I throw it away? It's biopellets

Yea clean it all very very well and let it dry. Probably in tap water and a lot vinegar. And let it dry. One your ready to pout it back online get it wet and small it again.
Not too much Igor into the tank ?
Are you running carbon and gfo?

I'm running carbon. I may pick up some gfo today. I have another reactor that I was planning on using as a cdx co2 scrubber but I haven't set it up yet so I can use it with gfo and then use the this dirty one after I clean it as the scrubber

Watch your tank closely as that is toxic!

So a big water change today. Should I do 50%

If not much was immediately effected I wouldn't worry too much. I don't know how much got in o course.
The big fails were a longer term running of the reactor being run to slow or large volume added to the tank.

Another case was the tank actually smelled of eggs and there was still little to no effect.

So a large one wouldn't hurt but again don't be overly worried. Fresh carbon and some gfo If you have some.

There's no smell at all in the tank or sump. Everything seems fine so far. I changed the carbon out and hooked up the other reactor with some gfo. My salt was a little low in my fresh water I was going to use for the water change so I added some and I'm letting it dissolve till morning the I'll change 40 gal. I still can't believe I did that.

I dumped a capfuls of revive coral dip in the tank once. It look like the phyto bottle.

It's a dip to kill pests.

Oh wow. I guess we all make mistakes. But it seems like I've been making a lot with this big tank. It's probably big I felt rushed to get it all done. But now I can take my time and hopefully not make as many mistakes

I did the exact same.
It's practice. It makes perfect.

Mistakes will be made, no one is exempt.
The more times we make small mistakes we become more aware to check ourselves and methods.
Never feel like you are alone when it comes down to making a goof with reef keeping, there are tons of stories to share

I know it's taken forever but I finally got my light hung. It doesn't look very good but it makes life so much easier. When I set the tank up I didn't realize that one end is right up to the wall so there was no way to put the arms on the back side of the tank. They had to go in front for now. We r moving within a year so I'll change it to the back then. I'm having a hard time getting them centered so I know it's little off but here is a picture
