Good Evening.

I recently acquired a leather from a 7+ year system. I drip acclimated for about 6hrs. I completed a water test shortly after to discover Nitrates at roughly 5.0ppm and Ammonia at 0.25. (APT kits). Salinity at 1.26 (IO Salt). I swiftly completed a 25 gallon water change. Tank is 90 gal with 28 gallon sump (about 15 gallons additional water volume.).

I have not tested post water change at this time, but plan to keep up the 25 gallon change per week for a bit.

I have tried various spots in the tank for flow. Right now the leather is in a moderate flow area. (I changed up positioning of power head to help with turning this spot of the tank over...hints slim algae). My question is this... Normal sheading of a soft coral? Am I losing this guy? Any suggestions?

I have other leathers in the tank and they all appear to be happy and healthy.

I'm using a BRS RODI unit with cartridges about 1 year old. The resin has not changed colors 100% yet but I am wondering if my RO unit is not running at optimum filtering level.

That looks to me like he's melting away, not shedding. Leathers being big babies, once you put a new one in the tank, I'd leave em be for a few weeks before moving it. Once they get to pouting you never know when they will pop back up. But this one, Im afraid to say, doesn't look good to me.
