Setting up another tank, an up-grade to 180gal with a Opistognathus Rosenblatti (Blue Spot Jawfish) as the main character and want to add the following:

Acanthurus Japonicus (Powder Brown Tang)
Ctenochaetus Tominiensis (Tomini Tang)
Ctenochaetus Strigosus (Kole Tang)
Cirrhilabrus Tonozukai (
Tono's Fairy)
Halichoeres Chrysus ?? (Yellow Coris)
Cirrhilabrus Rubripinnis (Red fin Fairy)
Halichoeres Melanurus (Melanrus)
Paracheilinus Carpenteri (Carpenter's Wrasse)
Cirrhilabrus Lubbocki (Lubbock's Wrasse)
Paracheilinus Mccoskeri (McCosker's Flasher)
Mirolabrichthys Dispar x5
Gramma Loreto (oyal Gramma)

Too many Wrasse's? Thinking about adding a pr of Hawaiian Flashers and maybe a pr of Rhomboid's and will have the usual Cleaner shrimp, huge clean up crew and a mixed reef.

Fabulous list of fish! Sounds perfect for about a 300 gallon tank. Out of curiosity (not testing you, i swear), what are you planning for filtration?

Oh yeah, if my $20 Halichoeres smoked my $250+ rhomboidalis, i would fill my shorts!

I would pass on the Powder Brown, they can be as temperamental as a Powder Blue Tang can.

I have a Yellow Choris in my tank along with a blue face fairy wrasse? Not sure on that one, it is the reef safe blue head. But anyhow they get along well, the Yellow Choris is a model citizen and doesn't harm any of my fish at all.

Only time will tell, yeah might be too many fish for a 180gal maybe pass on the yellow coris

and as for filtration this beast that I built just for this upgrade

and if that's not enough these four media reactors can be put into service

The 2 are 4" tubes 12" tall for GFO and the shorter one is 6" tube 7" tall for carbon

this one is 18" tall and right now NeoZeo is bring run in it.

skinz78 where in WA are you? Ever get up to the PSMA

Blue Spots are timid. You have a lot of active fish on that list. I know that my Tomini is the bastage of the tank, in my 300. Just killed a new Powder Blue I added that was bigger and the bully of another tank.

That's odd... I just added a tomini to mine and he's a great tenant. Along with a scopas and unicorn. I added these wothin days of each other.
Not to mention a very small blue.

I plan on getting rid of the unicorn soon. As I want a tennenti. My total fish count is at 12 now. I hope everything stays well. im positive I'll be selling a few in several years down the road. :)

the tomini I had was also very aggressive! almost as bad as a sohal, but didnt eat corals.

lemonyx, excellent array of equipment! Not only do you seem well prepared, you make me feel inadequate at the same time! Cool!
