My last two attempts at frag tanks have been huge failures. I don't know what it is but my acros can't adjust to the lower lighting. But my clams are doing great in there.

If you need the tank to be attractive don't rule out using live rock and it helps with filtering as well. My wife recently threw down the ultimatum: "Make that "Frag tank" look nice like our main tank or get rid of it." Translation: "Make it look like a reef tank without all the egg crate and frag stands." So I created an aquascape conducive to holding frags. Then I pulled all the rocks out and drilled frag-size holes into them for plugs. I let her buy an anemone and clown pair and put them in the corner. She's happy and guests just think the tank is a younger version of the main display with smaller coral.

Yea i will have around 40 pounds or more in the fuge and I'm not really going for attractivness i think the corals well suffice for the beauty part but thanks for giving me another idea
