Help with getting started

Was wondering if anyone could post a couple of pics with names for some good starter zoos or other softies. Will be stopping by 5th day tommrow and would like to have a general idea of what I'm looking for before I go in. It's a 10 gal tank with 9lbs of LR, 36watt Nova extreme light, and has benn running for almost 3 months now. Thanks

the middle tank at donny's store is filled with zoanthids, button polyps and star polyps all of those should be good beginner corals for you. he has a lot of nice stuff that you would be able to keep in your tank and he will steer you in the right direction.

Xenia, my personal fovourite of the starter corals, It has a pulsing effect that is just awesome and it is very quick to grow

Any Paly's are probably a good bet (like big less colorful zoos) these have grown better for me as a newb than anything else

Kenya tree is easy as well

word to the wise.... this stuff gets expensive

I'd suggest you go with anything in the middle coral tank at 5th day creations or the mushrooms in the fish systems.

I agree, middle tank at fifth day is your best bet. keep in mind with kenya trees that they once established will drop babies everywhere and take over. so if you like abunch of them growing everywhere and strangling out other corals they are an easy coral, I just try to warn people from doing things I learned the hard way! Zenia is very similiar but much easier to contol. good luck

Yeah hehe Revh was there when I bought my light. After talking for a bit it turned out we went to the same Junior high. I actually had to break out my yearbooks and find him lol. Thanks for the welcome tho, not sure if I will get paid today so, might have to hit 5th day tomorrow

it's located in East Ridge across from the cracker barrel off of ringgold road

come up 59 take 24 west to 75, take 75 south, exit to the right at the first exit stay in the right hand lane, take a right at the red light again stay in the right hand lane, turn right toward cracker barrel, and 5th day is located right across from the cracker barrel
