I have had my green birdsnest for 3 weeks and has been doing great. But all of the sudden since friday it has started dying and i dont know why. My ca alk and mg are all fine and so are my other sps corals. The only thing i was thinking is i havent done a water change in 2-1/2 weeks when i usually do one every week

whats your temps at? and do you have a yellow clown goby? I had one that killed my BN

BN are quite finicky IME.
You sure there was no swing in your ALk?
Also please specify your Params it makes it a bit easier.

Is the coral in the same flow in your tank as where it came from, the same height and under the same light? it can also take a few weeks before they show any signs of stress and many times whatever stressed them has been corrected before you see those stress signs and test.
Many of us don't test until we see signs of change and then we believe the change is a result of something that just occurred. but all we really know is that something changed from the last test to now, and during that time frame it caused the change in the tank.

I find in my tank it is too much flow and light compared to the sellers tank that causes the decline. Moving it away from the intense light and flow may allow it to recover.

You know what that is absolutely true!
Birdsnest colonies in particular do have a tougher time adjusting IME!
Since they grow heavily based upon the flow patterns, when they're moved they get pretty stressed!

Even i have seen growth in the past 3 weeks

Well that just sounds like a shading problem!
Not much you can do, tends to happen to colonies like that.

move your coral. sometimes they thrive. just a few inches don't wait till its too late... reef on
