Hello
I am relatively new to the hobby. I have a 28 gallon jbj nano with an aquamaxx HOB-1 and reef radiance dm 132e lights. I have about 35 lbs live rock and sand and about 50 different coral frags (mainly lps and zoa's / Paly's).
One of my frags must have had hair algae on it because now I have hair algae popping up all over my tank. It is mainly attached to, or around my corals and has grown pretty long (in my opinion).
I have quite a few snails consisting of nassarius, nerite, cerinth, and dwarf cerinth. I even have a few bumble bees. However, they do not seem to be eating the hair algae but instead eating other types.
QUESTION:
1) What can I do? Supplements??? Crabs??? Other Snails????
Someone suggested emerald crabs. I would rather not get something that will eat all my snails, but will if I have to.
NOTE: My corals tend to be close together as I have a lot, so the solution would have to be good in confined spaces without damaging the corals.
As always, THANKS
Adam
