Hello Reefers,

I have been battling with low nitrate and phosphate for the past while nitrates have finally gotten off of zero to 10ppm but phosphate is bottomed out completely. I've been adding reef foods daily to try to raise the phosphates.

Over the last few month my hammer corals have basically shrunk, they look healthy color is good but they simply don't extend the way they used to when I got them originally.

Could this be caused by low phosphate and nitrate for an extended period?

Thanks for your time!

I'll get one when lights come up. The low nutrients did cause some dinos to end up on my sandbed. I've been increasing nitrate by dosing and I think I will need to dose phosphate aswell it has stayed at zero for 3 months now. I reduced the amount of filter media as well. All this was caused by upgrading my pump and over filtering.

have u tried feeding nori while reducing skimming to help inc PO4? When this didn't work, I had good results using Seachem FLourish
