I got a hammer coral last night and acclimated it and placed it in my tank then I woke up and it looked like this and was falling apart. What do I do??

I don’t know but I had the same thing. I can keep all kinds off things except hammers. Mine died within 12 hours. I’m sorry I can’t help. Someone will come along soon. I just wanted to let you know that I feel your pain! Good luck!

It is getting a significant amount of flow almost in direct line with the spicket

How much flow is it getting at the top of that rock?
It is getting a significant amount of flow almost in line with the spicket the guy at the place I got it from said to put it directly across from it.

Hammers do not like direct flow, the hammers I have like indirect low flow and low light. As they acclimate to your tank you can increase flow and light, but they still do not like direct strong water flow. Also, that looks like it has mucus coming from the head, it may have an infection, I have heard iodine dipping helps. Good luck!

+1^. My hammers and torch get very indirect flow and are no where near my wavemakers.

same with me, i have mine nearly in the sand bed, indirect light and almost no flow and the things are as big as can be

Thank you so much!

We also forgot to ask the single biggest question, what r the parameters of the tank?

It’s a 5 gallon nano tank
Temp is 78
Not exactly sure what the salinity is but all other parameters are normal
