Help with hammer coral

Dont really know how to explain, but my hammer unattached one of its heads, It was floating around but has now settled, oddly it still fully extends and eats..? Does this ever happen?

In my experience that’s too much flow, under stress and caused it to bail out from the skeleton. Unfortunately my frog spawn didn’t survive that. It opened for a few days and then slowly died.

Let’s others chime in.

Weird... had it in high flow a while back, moved it to low flow and it seemingly thrived for a while. Moved it into a breeding box so no one messes with it...
