So the last few corrals I got last week I had some small snails and slugs and bristle stars come off I noticed one bristle star made it in as I saw his arms sticking out from under the coral. I also noticed what I think are small feather duster and was surprised the duster and star made it through the dip. Tonight I go up to switch to blue late and I see this guy on the glass. I'm guessing it's a star but is it harmful? I believe its 6 arms but it's in such a odd spot it's hard to get photos or a count with the ripples at the top of my tank. Thoughts?

Asterina Starfish. Mostly a good guy.

It's in a 28gal nano do I want to take him out when gets bigger and enjoy the benefit? Also anything I should watch for that I dont want him doing. Someone keeps knocking my birds nest frag off the top at night I've been blaming my cleaner shrimp and figured I'd glue the frag down when I get him where I want.

Sorry as I'm studying on them it says they stay small this guys about dime sized. I'll just watch my magicians polyp and sps if he leaves them alone I may just let him stay for now. If they start getting to large a population or I see coral damage I'll have to come up with a starfish killing plan. Hes cute and all but I like my corals more. New to the hobby and just weirded out by how many hitchhikers I'm finding on this last purchase. Even been doseing higher than directions for dips trying to avoid the hitch hikers till I have some more expierance guess that's over time to learn faster. Ty you got me in the right direction i suppose I'll wait and see.
