hi folks! anyone care to help me figure out what this growth is in my zoas? all i can guess is sponge? its definitely growing bigger. any help is appreciated! thanks!

that spot in the zoa is about dead center in the tank. there are power heads on either side of the tank

Sorry - I was looking at the brownish slime coming from the zoas, but I just now realized that's not what you are talking about... LOL!

no, not sure why that looks like that.lol. there isnt brown slime coming out. but i can see what you mean. i am wondering about that growth

I already did, tagging someone sends a notification to their device they are using reef2reef on.
I can't tell for sure from the pic, but I think I can see some small holes when I zoom in (particularly in the top right and bottom left of the blob) - so I'd guess a sponge.
If so, it seems to be the harmless variety.
