I cleaned up my frag tank this morning and then ran some errands with my wife. When we got home this critter was on my glass. Can anyone ID for me and answer the main question, good or bad? Thanks reefers

Asterina starfish. There's a lot of different opinions out there regarding these things. I for one don't trust them at all though. I remove them on sight. GL.

I've got a hundred of them lol. Sometimes I get a lil generous during feeding and when I do I get a bit of cyano n these guys clean it right up.

Asterina star. Some say they're harmless and others swear they are horrible. Mine don't seem to bother anything but when easy to reach I do remove them.

They also seem to increase in population with higher nitrates and phosphates
