#1.

This is my Jack-o-lantern Leptastrea first leptastrea I ever got, and just snagged it for fun when I was starting up my recent tanks.

I never really looked at it since it was there since I got the frag. I don't know why it took me this long to realize but I realized this isn't part of my Leptastrea.

However I'm unaware of if it's something detrimental or what it even is. Does anyone know? The "tenticles/feather mouth" is like a feather duster, but it's not webbed, from what I can see and it kind of "shines" in the light like clear fish line. I just fed so there's some frozen food in it's mouth.

#2. Pretty sure these are Pineapple Sponges but just not sure if it's a problem that they're attached to my Zoa's rather than the rockwork.

also maybe wrong Id.

Photos are right after i just fed now so waters a little dirty. Thanks.

You think so? On both or just the Zoa's?

I thought Pineapple sponge because they had little furries.

I'm just gonna go with "when in doubt take it out" but they ripped in half while I tweezed them.

Looks like they were boring holes thought so probably for the best.

What about the Leptastrea?

IDK if I can pluck that one out so easily.

Might actually just be a feather duster on the leptasrea but it looks strange and not like a normal one,

also they normally fully retreat when poked this doesnt.

maybe not duster but in the family.

regardless looks invasive I’m gonna glue him shut :-(.

Pineapple has a cap like pineapple and has a silicate skeleton like outer skin which is why they dont last more than a few weeks.
If in doubt, take it out is the safest rule I know of

kind of hard to see in the photos but they both had "crown like mouths". But they're gone now.

Glued up whatever worm/filter feed was on my leptastrea too so. that's that.
